The dream of Bead Unique took shape in October of 2004.

Each piece of jewelry is hand-made by us at our design studio and retail store in Velva, ND.

Recently, we have added various lines of home decor that we hand-forge, paint, and design as well.

We strive to create a unique atmosphere that is more than just a "shopping experience" but a quest to find that special item that is "totally you from start to finish."

Whether you fall in love with an already completed piece or have us design something specially for you...it will feel like a part of you.

Michele is a self-taught artist that worked in the field of corporate banking for nearly 15 years while raising the three of us...all girls except for dad who is highly out-numbered but enjoys every minute of it. Ha! Ha!

We live on a farm outside of Velva, ND where my father has raised purebred Salers cattle for the last 25 years.

I joined my mom in this business, as her full partner, not too long after I graduated from North Dakota State University with my business administration degree in 2006. I spent about four months doing an intership in Gilbert, AZ upon graduating in the spring and joined her full time that fall.

We have been on a truly creative journey ever since...

Bead Unique has, day-by-day, layer-by-layer, become the most fulfilling thing we have every done...it can hardly be called a job when it's such a deep part of who we are and what we love about life.

Possibly more details about "Bead Unique" and its artists' to come... but I can't say when since I tend to do these things as they come to me.

Maybe this page will become some sort of a blog on what these crazy women are up to?
